Your Passion Podcast - It’s All About Connecting

In the 3rd installment of Your Passion Podcast I’m talking about connecting with others.

It wasn’t always my strong point, but after a year or so of blogging and realizing that I needed to put myself out there, I’ve embraced the ease and power of connecting online and started translating that to offline connecting as well.

Connecting is key. Sounds simple, and in many ways, it is - particularly online. There are plenty of tools (chat, Twitter, Skype, blogging, etc.) and as long as you’re willing to invest the time and a bit of yourself (to demonstrate who you are, what you care about, and why others should care) it will be returned in kind.

Ben,

Somehow I missed your podcast until now. I tried to find it through iTunes, but I was unable to. Am I nutty, or is it not in the library?

I’m going to be dumb now and ask how else I can subscribe with iTunes. Any ideas?

Ben, podcasting has loomed a littly scary to me, but, like you I’ve grown as a blogger this year and I want to give it my best try. Hopefully, I’ll be back with a Podcast for you!

Robyn - it’s pretty easy to get into with a bit of help and some mediocre recording equipment. You don’t need a lot, but it’s harder than blogging because we’re not used to recording while we’re all used to writing (in some capacity.)

Are you coming to SOBCon ‘07 in Chicago? I’ll be talking about podcasting there…

I just tried to listen to your podcast with the embedded player. You get cut off just after you introduce yourself. It’s not fair to tease us this way.

Dawud - I think it’s fixed now - give it another try. I have to get it into iTunes soon…

Totally dig the podcast topic. I’d like to send you a clip. Oddly enough, I just got some sort of head cold so my voice is horrible right now. If it clears up in the next couple of days, I’d love to record something and get it to you.

Also, I don’t know what you know about getting into iTunes, but this might help.

Dawud - thanks for the link. I’ve done the iTunes thing a few times but it just takes a certain amount of time / hassle so I haven’t bothered yet. I want to create some kind of graphic first that’ll go into iTunes - but nothing has come to mind at this point.

A graphic…have you come up with anything in the past few days? Are you looking to ‘brand’ your podcast with Instigator Blog?
