Web 2.0 Beautifully Explained

by Ben Yoskovitz

This video just came across my path today, thanks to Philippe Borremans, Web 2.0 explained in video: Teaching the Machine.

Even when you’re “in the biz” of Web 2.0 and pushing online communities and conversations, it’s wonderful and inspiring to take a step back and say, “Right. That’s what we’re doing here.”

Kudos to Michael Wesch, Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University for putting this together.

It’s short, to-the-point and will leave you saying, “Oui.”

Exactly…

It captures the whole essence… And that in less than 5 minutes.

It’s to the point, well done, creative and just good.

Great blog by the way - I am signing up.

Wow Ben, great find. This is really what it’s all about.

wow.

I always find it amazing how the web is linking people together; how a conversation starts and then takes off, benefiting from each additional voice and perspective. It’s what keeps us hooked, and exploring this new digital world, where ground up organization and democracy work in a way they don’t always do as well in the corpus world.

It does evoke “web 2.0″ because it is such an intangible thing, simply an emotional sense of the evolution of the web. But it is a fabulous fabulous video.
