Time To Change The Face Of Recruiting – Standout Jobs

The online job market is broken and too many people don’t spend enough time hiring the right people.

So what are we going to do about it?

I’ve made some allusions here recently about starting a new business, and I’ve spoken to a few people directly. Today I’m announcing the start of Standout Jobs, a company I’ve founded with Fred Ngo and Austin Hill.

We won’t be giving out a lot of details in the near future, but check out the landing page and sign up to receive news.

On a personal note, I’m thrilled to be working with these guys on this very cool project. I’ve already learned an absolute ton, been inspired more than I have in years, and met some amazing people. We’re building a great team, pushing a great idea, and you can be sure that we’ll knock some heads and raise some eyebrows along the way. Maybe we’ll get a few gasps and cheers too…

Standout Jobs is about helping employers find the best candidates faster. It’s about opening up lines of communication and taking the boring, unending processes out of hiring. We want to change the way you recruit, because the way you hire people right now doesn’t work.

Stay up-to-date at http://www.standoutjobs.com.

Good luck with this. I can only speak for the UK but here recruiters have done nothing but put unsuitable candidates in front of me. If I decide to hire I have to give the recruiters 25% of first year’s salary … very offputting.

Good luck in breaking the cycle!

Good luck Ben! As someone who is currently in a position to be hiring for several positions where I work, I know what a pain the traditional route can be.

I’ll be keeping tabs on your new venture and perhaps it can help me out!

Thank you for the continued support folks, it’s appreciated!

David – it’s one of those logos that people either like or don’t like, I think. It’s not your “typical” logo…We wanted it to stand out, and be more visual than typical logos.

The company that did it was Plank Design.

    Hey Ben,
I am always excited to see people work on their ideas. I believe this will be a huge success. Do keep up the good work

All the best to the team for this new service.

The hiring process is really exactly as you wrote in your last paragraph as least from my own experience here up to now. It’s really broken, long and boring.

So I’d welcome Standout Jobs anyday if it carries out its mission successfully.
