The Post-Thanksgiving Goal Writing Project Ends With Some Great Goals

All good things must come to an end…and so is the case with the Post-Thanksgiving Goal Writing Project.

The purpose of the project (for me and others) was to write our goals on our blogs – goals we wanted to achieve from now until the end of 2006 (which is fast approaching!) I wrote 5 or 6 posts about my goals, ranging from starting new businesses to frivolous blog stuff. I think the best headline out of all of them was Be The Duck, although it doesn’t necessarily meet Brian’s headline suggestions (Personally, I think “Be The Duck” should have made the front page of Digg just based on the silliness of the post title!)

I got a ton of great submissions.

The last batch is listed below:

If you still want to write a post about your goals and let me know about it, please do! I’ll add your submissions into a late night post or tomorrow morning. All you need to do is write out your goals on your blog and tell me…email me and tag your posts “post-thanksgiving goal writing project.”

It’s been a blast writing out my goals (and now I’ve got a bunch of posts to write at the end of the year or early 2007 about whether I met those goals or not!) What’s more, I was introduced to quite a few people including Carolyn, Stephanie, Whimspiration, Mobivity and others. It shows you how braindead easy it is to connect online. And for those connections to be truly meaningful.

If you enjoyed this post, please share it!

Thank you, Ben, and a good Sunday morning to you. Writing my goals has already had a positive mental effect. It adds the element of accountability that was missing before. It's a very good thing.

Thanks for sharing my goals here Ben, and for encouraging me to get 'em out there. 25 new bloggers virtually is my goal. I've got 1 new one already today! Whoo-hoo!

Ben – I thought I'd give you an update: I did achieve all my goals by the end of 2007. Now I have over 400 blogs linking back to me according to Technorati. Thanks for helping ME make it great!

    Phil – only 1,000 – come on! Go for 2,000 or 3,000!

You're funny Ben. 550 more blogs to be linked from…That would mean I'd hit about .01% of the blogosphere more. So if we triple that, we're still at only .03% of the blogosphere, and are up to 2000 blogs that link back to me. OK, game on. Let's see what we can do to build that much buzz. That's a LOT of comments on other folks blogs to even introduce them to me. I can do it though. Put it down Ben: 01/01/2008: 2000 unique bloggers link back to http://makeitgreat.typepad.com Go big or GO HOME!
