Problems Don’t Solve Themselves

Keep Your Head in the Sand…

And Problems Will Fester.

You Need To Deal With Problems Right Away.

The right time to deal with a problem is right now. Let it linger and one of two things will happen:

  1. It will grow and grow and grow until it explodes into a gargantuan, stinking mess; or,
  2. It will disappear for a bit, only to re-emerge and explode into a gargantuan, stinking mess.

Why wait?

This site has used my image with out asking- i have a copyright on the image as noted on my flickr site with tag jsdart. It is unethical to use copyrighted images with out permission- and against the law. This site needs to remove my image right away or pay me my fee for usage. Social change- start at home.
  • Julie - My apologies, I've removed the image.
  • The pics certainly add a reality to the message, with which I can't agree more !
  • Tat - maybe. I'm glad you enjoyed the post, and I appreciate the comment.

I actually wouldn't have stopped scrolling if it hadn't been for the pictures. Maybe it's because they're so thought-provoking that people don't comment as much - a nothing-left-to-say thing.
  • Thanks for the comments folks. David - those are some tough pictures.

I picked this one in particular because of the DKNY t-shirt - it just stood out to me.

My picture posts don't seem to generate as many comments, but I still love them for their simplicity and visual strength...
  • Dead on. I've found this true of all problems. They never just go away. We can pretend they do/will. But they don't. And often, the longer we wait the worse they are when we finally get to dealing with them.

So as you ask, "Why wait?"
  • You are so right.

This goes for personal problems as well as business problems.

Why couldn't I have read this post ten years ago!
  • True words.

I posted a similar series of images (like the child scavenging) on my blog:

Very thought-provoking and keeps my perspective as it should be.
