Montreal Entrepreneur Breakfast: Next Tuesday

A quick reminder that the next Montreal Tech Entrepreneur Breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, December 11th at Bistro, Etc. at 9am.

If you’re on Facebook (and haven’t abandoned it yet!) you can check out the Event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=7615265665.

I also have a Montreal Tech Entrepreneur Group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5502019497.

Anyone involved in technology, entrepreneurship, startups or investment (VCs & angels) are welcome. It’s free (you buy your own coffee/food) and you can bring as many people as you like.

Bistro, Etc. is located at 1291 Avenue du Mont-Royal, E.

Sadly, I won’t be able to make it — I’ll be in Toronto for a couple of days, but the Breakfast must go on! And I hope everyone has a good time; I’ll see you at the next breakfast in 2008!

If you enjoyed this post, please share it!

    Ben,

Do you have any insights on why using Facebook to promote such an event is useful or beneficial?

Is there more to Facebook, that business people can take advantage of?

@RJacobsen: I use Facebook for the event for 1 simple reason: Almost everyone is on it. So it makes it easy to remind the biggest number of people when the meeting is taking place.

@SafetyMan: I think FB can be used to promote businesses, but it’s in no way easy. Nor is it necessarily suited to every type of business. There aren’t any simple answers here except to say, “there is an insane number of people on FB.” If you can find a way to reach that ridiculously huge number of people, you’re getting somewhere.
