I can’t help but be inspired by the submissions people are sending in for this group writing project.

I asked the question, “What did you learn this year?”

People have responded with a whole host of different things. I’m thrilled I was able to inspire a little bit. More importantly, I’m thrilled that people are sharing. One of the best ways for us to learn is through others. If you learned a great lesson this year, share it! By sharing it you’re helping others learn. It’s always easier for us to learn from other people’s hard work and mistakes. You make a difference sharing your thoughts openly with the blogging community. Don’t ever think you don’t.

• Eliza summarizes some worthwhile lessons learned about blogging. Blogging works on so many levels. I’m a poster child for blogging success, and there are millions of others just like me, plugging away, expressing themselves, making money, making connections and having fun.
• John Ounpuu realizes that learning from experience works. One of my favorite messages so far is from John, “One of the things I learned along way was how alarmingly easy it is to lose sight of your convictions when you’re focused on execution and all of the minutia it entails.” Ain’t that the truth…
• Zorak has some very personal lessons learned and I applaud her for being open and honest. It’s not always easy, but it works.
• Lance Turner lists some lessons learned from the world of business and job hunting. Lance talks a lot about putting yourself out there to find great opportunities. His very last one is particularly intriguing, “People always believe what they read. So write it right the first time.” Something to think about.
• Terri Fitzgerald reminds us about the importance of family. And she learned a bit of HTML too! Good stuff Terri!
