So here’s some big, big news … GoInstant has agreed to be acquired by Salesforce.
You can read our blog post about the news here: http://www.goinstant.com/goinstant-to-be-acquired-by-salesforce-com/.
This is an incredible day for GoInstant, the team and for me personally. I joined the company back in October. I knew I was in for a ride; I had no idea it’d be like this!
We’ve made a lot of progress since October, and it’s been a fantastic experience. Now it’s about to go even faster and be even more incredible. Salesforce is a great fit for GoInstant. They’re committed to the social enterprise from the back-end to the front; it’s an extremely interesting place for us to be.
GoInstant will remain in Halifax as a startup, focused on the co-browsing market and making shared web experiences as a reality.
The acquisition by Salesforce pours jet fuel into our engines and will allow us to move faster and more aggressively than ever before. There’s a ton for us to do and accomplish, and we’re just getting started.
On a personal note, this is life changing for me. I arrived in Halifax a few days ago with my family. I’m settling into a new home. My kids will go to a new school. We’ll make new friends and get to experience a new city. And I’ll be working for a great company (with a ridiculously awesome team!) that’s exited successfully in an incredibly short period of time. Most importantly, I believe GoInstant will change how people interact online.
Side note: If you’re interested in working at GoInstant (and living in Halifax) check out our jobs. More will be posted soon too, for QA engineers, Tech operations and security folks.
