For all the Montrealers out there, please take note that DemoCamp Montreal 3 is next week on Tuesday, June 26th in a month’s time on Thursday, July 26th. I could have sworn it was supposed to be on June 26th, but I guess I was wrong!
There are still spaces available if you want to demo something; it’s a great opportunity to put your feet in the fire and get some response from the Montreal tech community. Don’t worry, they’re all pussycats.
Sadly, I probably won’t make it. Having two kids at home (one that will be just a month old) means I’m on “Daddy Duty” in the evenings until things settle down a bit. But Standout Jobs will be well represented with Marc-Andre Cournoyer and Fred Ngo.
It’s always worth coming out to these events, checking out what people are doing, catching up with friends, and making new contacts. So enjoy!
Yesterday’s Montreal Tech Entrepreneur Breakfast was a lot of fun. There were plenty of new faces, which is great to see. Hopefully that trend continues and previous attendees keep returning so the meeting grows.
I’m still thinking of a change in the location. I’m looking for suggestions.
It still feels like people get stuck to a chair once the food arrives. Wouldn’t a cafe environment, where the focus is less on food (just grab a coffee + muffin) and more on socializing and moving around. A cafe or lounge would make sense, I think…but I need suggestions and ideas!
Meanwhile, Heri has a great writeup on the meeting, which I appreciate. You know Heri will always be on top of things.
And next month’s Tech Entrepreneur Breakfast will be on July 10th (location TBD). I hope to see more people there! And I echo Heri’s interest in bringing more students into the mix…

The breakfast is being held at Bistro, Etc. (same as last time.) It usually runs 2-3 hours. But come when you want, stay as long as you want.
We get a few new people each time, and I will keep encouraging more people to show up. It’s relaxed, free and lots of interesting people are there talking about technology, entrepreneurship and business.
Sadly, I won’t be there tomorrow, which seems kind of silly since I started the breakfast, but I know it’s in good hands. I’ve got a huge meeting around 10:30am that I have to prepare for and there’s not enough time.
But we’ll keep the breakfasts going every month and I’ll see everyone in June!
